Local and international business angels, VCs and family offices bridge the gap at the event for investors "Aarhus Investor Summit"

On Thursday October 6th, more than 150 participants will gather at Aarhus Investor Summit, where business angels, VCs and family offices will have the opportunity to strengthen their collaboration across both the Danish and international investor environment.

Aarhus Investor Summit | Tech Edition is an annual event that creates a gathering point for both Danish and international investors and gives startups the opportunity to meet investors and take home investments. The summit thus puts a spotlight on entrepreneurship, which is essential for growth in the Central Jutland region and the creation of jobs.

This year's summit focuses on tech and hands over the stage to, among others, NATO Innovation Fund, NOON Ventures and futurist and lecturer, Thomas Geuken. The latter will, based on his deep insights as associate director at the Institute for Future Studies and his work as an advisor to the Pictet Group, talk about how the Swiss multinational private banking and finance company uses megatrends within future studies to identify new investment opportunities. In addition, five forward-looking and knowledge-intensive tech startups from the central Jutland ecosystem are pitching.

"Together with our partners, we look forward to welcoming to a summit that makes a special effort to build bridges between both local, national and international business angels, VCs and family offices," says Mai Louise Agerskov, CEO of INCUBA.

"Collaboration across the Danish startup ecosystem is fundamental to ensure that tomorrow's innovative companies and transformative technologies can grow and reach their potential. I look forward to engaging colleagues in discussions about how we maintain and build this ecosystem," says Theis Malmborg, Co-founder & Partner in NOON Ventures.

Presentation of an entrepreneur award that honors Central Jutland startups and investors

At the Aarhus Investor Summit, the INCUBA awards "Startup of the Year" and "Investor of the Year" are also presented, both of which aim to highlight local heros who create significant results and inspire others with their efforts in the entrepreneurial environment in central Jutland.

A jury consisting of players from the Aarhus startup and investor environment has selected three finalists in each category. In the final to win the award as "Startup of the Year" are: NMD Pharma, Sepior and RE-ZIP, while the local investors Bo Wase, Claus Hansen and Mikkel Ploug fight for the title of "Investor of the Year".

"Startups create more value and that should be celebrated. Therefore, I find it important that we as a society inspire both to establish, invest and take an interest in growth companies and startups. We saw last year that the INCUBA award created publicity and interest for the companies and investors. It is powerful that we can celebrate and highlight exceptional investors and startups through the award," says jury member Poul Nielsen, Regional Director at Danske Bank.
