The Danish Board of Business Development has appointed 13 national strengths to handle Danish business promotion, and Food & Bio Cluster Denmark was created to handle the cluster function within food and bioresources.
Food and bioresources are an important part of the green transition, and as a member organization, Food & Bio Cluster Denmark has a central role in bringing together large and small companies, researchers and students from the entire value chain to create innovation and development within this area of strength.
Through networking groups, seminars, conferences and development projects, we help companies find solutions and new paths together - both nationally and internationally. In Food & Bio Cluster Denmark, it is the members who set the agenda, and we currently have more than 450 members across the country and throughout the value chain - including around 25 international members.
We are the direct gateway for Danish and international companies and knowledge institutions to networks, business development, innovation and financing. We have in-depth experience and can draw on national and international resources to realize new, innovative ideas. www.foodbiocluster.dk.
At Food & Bio Cluster Denmark, we have a stated goal of ensuring increased access to venture capital, and over a number of years we have built a large international network of VCs and CVCs, and we work with business angel networks like Keystones to match startups from our network with the relevant investors.
The partnership between Aarhus Investor Summit and Food & Bio Cluster Denmark is important as it helps further the goal of ensuring increased access to venture capital for agrifoodtech startups in our network.
Food & Bio Cluster Denmark actively works to support its more than 100 startup member companies, including the companies that are part of the Haystack incubator, which is run in collaboration with Agro Food Park.
Aarhus Investor Summit plays a key role in creating visibility for these entrepreneurs and the thriving entrepreneurial environment in East Jutland, which is essential for attracting investors and capital to contribute to their growth and development.
Kathrine Lykke Kirk, Senior Innovation Manager says:
“Aarhus Investor Summit is an important driver for future innovation in the local area and strengthening the entire ecosystem. We experience a great interest in more investments in agrifoodtech companies, and it is our most important task to help companies find the right investors and provide knowledge to investors about what is happening in our industry.”
